Taking my annual Christmas break

I usually try to take off the week between Christmas and New Year’s as a chance to relax, regroup and plan for the next season. This year, however, I’m doing something a little different. I’m holding back my regular Tuesday blog post (AKA “Power Writing”), which should be delivered on Christmas Eve, and I’ll be posting and emailing it instead, on Thursday, Dec. 26.

Otherwise, I’ll be away from my blog until Jan. 2nd. I hope those of my readers who celebrate Christmas are able to enjoy a time that is relaxing, reflective or riotous fun — or all three!

The image at the top of this post is a Christmas tree ornament made from papier maché by my talented graphic artist Warren Clark. I was unable to capture this in the photograph, but Warren has designed the Santa so that he’s wearing polka dotted boxers, directly under his red cloak. It’s very funny!
